Yoga offers athletes something that traditional training often overlooks- the space to recover, rebalance, and refine how the body moves.
Yoga helps athletes enhance performance by improving mobility, recovery, breath control, and mental focus, creating a stronger, more resilient body and a calmer, more efficient mind.
I first experienced the benefits of yoga as a teenager while rowing, when we were fortunate enough to have regular sessions as part of our training- and I noticed firsthand how it supported recovery, improved mobility and flexibility, and helped bring a sense of calm and focus both on and off the water.
With a background in competitive rowing, I understand the physical and mental demands that sport places on the body. My approach to yoga for athletes focuses on mobility, recovery, injury prevention, and breath work- helping athletes move more efficiently, recover more intentionally, and build both resilience and body awareness alongside their training.
Yoga for athletes supports not only physical performance, but mental wellbeing too. My classes create space for athletes to step away from the pressures of training and competition, reconnect with themselves through mindful movement and breath, and develop a deeper awareness of both body and mind. This is something I personally benefited from during my time rowing, when yoga became an important space for recovery, balance, and mental reset alongside training- and I’m passionate about helping other athletes experience that same sense of connection and support.
